Remembering Jeremiah Small

Everyone's story is important!
We can learn so much by getting to know others!

Adventures

Rapelling in K-stan

Being brought up without a TV didn't hurt Jer. He did things & took us places we never thought of going!

World-traveler

Jer was Tour Guide Extraordinaire! He loved enabling others to experience the thrill of discovery and awe.

Crazy

Jeremiah could get serious when he had to but much of the time his playful spirit was looking for something fun to do.

So fun to be around!

Jer's Kids

He would love to have been married and have raised a family of his own. Instead, he poured his love and energy into students and other's children with a passion.

Growin' Up

Being home-educated from pre-K to college, being the oldest of six siblings, living in Texas, the Philippines, Alaska, and Washington, there are plenty of pictures . . . and stories.

Serving

Jer's greatest legacy was showing the next generation how to serve their community and find practical ways to improve the quality of life for their culture.

Thanks for dropping by the new and improved mrjer.com. We've been busy this week gathering videos, pictures, articles, and other interesting "stuff" and will be adding components regularly over the next few weeks.

All who knew Jeremiah Small knew that he had something they needed. As one co-worker described, "he was the freeest person I know!" Our hope is that this site will be a resource center for the ideas and stories that can help you become more free and live more fully.

If you knew Jer you also were reminded that he's just a guy. He had shortcomings and made mistakes. But he knew it too and wasn't too proud to admit it -and ask forgiveness.

If you have class notes, pictures or stories you'd like to share with the world, contact us and we'll work it in.

Today, March 1, 2013, we have word that Florence Tewksbury is in her final hours of life this side of Heaven. She and "Uncle Tewks" were, in Jer's words, "Mentors from my teen years, two of the dearest people I know." On our road trip in 2011 with Jer we stopped in Harvey, N.D. to see them. So thankful that we had that time together.
